Boston Celtics x Bentley University:
Black History Month Career Day Partnership
As DEI Chair of the Black United Body (BUB), I spearheaded a partnership that positioned Bentley students as ambassadors during the Boston Celtics’ Black History Month Career Day. Over 20 Boston high school students attended Celtics HQ to explore careers in sports, hearing directly from four Black women leaders within the organization.
The experience culminated in a TD Garden visit, where students and ambassadors entered through the media entrance and sat courtside during player warm-ups. By leveraging Bentley’s existing Celtics partnership, building connections with executives, and securing support from President E. LaBrent Chrite, I ensured BUB became one of the first student organizations to be integrated into this institutional relationship. This initiative not only strengthened Bentley’s ties to the Celtics but also created pathways for underrepresented students to envision futures in sports and entertainment.
