Annual Black Admitted Students Day:
Bentley University
I created and launched Bentley’s first-ever Black Admitted Students Day as DEI Chair of the Black United Body (BUB), and what began as a student-led idea is now an annual tradition. The event has already helped raise Bentley’s Black student yield rate from 4% to 6%, with nearly 50% of attendees choosing Bentley after participating. It continues to build an authentic pipeline of support for incoming students.
In its second year, I brought back past attendees as panelists, invited student leaders to share their stories, and partnered with Admissions to deliver an engaging mix of panels, group discussions, and community-building activities. This work reflects my belief that student leadership can drive institutional change and create spaces where underrepresented students feel seen, welcomed, and supported.
